SURGERIES
RHINOPLASTY
ULTRASONIC
Ultrasonic rhinoplasty is the most advanced technique in rhinoplasty surgery, known and used by very few surgeons worldwide.
This method allows reshaping the nasal bones without breaking them and in a less traumatic way, since it does not damage the soft tissue or the blood vessels that cover the bone, reducing the swelling and bruising caused by the traditional method.
The ultrasonic instrumentation allows a more controlled and precise remodeling of the bones of the nose, thus achieving greater control over the results of the surgery.

FREQUENT QUESTIONS
Generally they are not painful. However, after any aesthetic surgical procedure the patient is always prescribed anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs to reduce the period of inflammation.
In 100% of the cases, Dr. Luis Felipe Mora performs all facial plastic surgery procedures and does not delegate anyone at any time.
of the surgery.
The postoperative period of a nose plastic surgery or any other facial plastic surgery is as important as the surgery itself. For this reason, ALL postoperative controls are personally performed by the facial surgeon Dr. Luis Felipe Mora or his medical staff; who are personally in charge of changing and removing any type of bandage.
The bandages that are left after any facial plastic surgery are intended to limit swelling and keep the facial tissues in place, so they should not be removed until Dr. Luis Felipe Mora gives the indication.
Both surgeries require different surgical techniques in order to improve the appearance of the nose, including the management of the patient's nasal cartilages to improve the nasal tip.
Nasal lavage is necessary for at least the first two months of the postoperative period.
No glasses should be worn for the first three to four weeks after surgery, contact lenses are recommended; if they are indispensable, I teach you how to wear them so that they do not rest on the nose.
Disability after rhinoplasty is one week, after which the patient can resume daily activities.
On the day of surgery, it is recommended not to consume dairy or citrus foods, after which a diet rich in protein is recommended to contribute to the healing process.
After rhinoplasty or any face surgery, direct sun exposure is contraindicated in the first few weeks because it can lengthen the swelling time and cause skin blemishes. All patients who undergo any facial surgery are recommended to use sunscreen twice a day for six months after surgery.
How long does it take for the nose to completely deflate and see the final results?
The surgical procedure I perform is a structural and ultrasonic rhinoplasty, so the use of nasal packing is generally not required, except in rare cases of nasal bleeding, which is less than 1%.
The first three days after any face plastic surgery it is recommended to sleep in a semi-sitting position with three or four pillows in order to reduce swelling.
It is important to remember that the postoperative period after a nose plastic surgery or any other facial plastic surgery is as important as the surgery itself to achieve the expected result. For this reason, it is recommended not to practice high impact sports until six weeks after any face surgery. However, fifteen days after the surgery, sports that do not require much physical effort or that do not expose the patient to blows to the face may be practiced.
After any face surgery it is very important to avoid the sun for at least the first four to six weeks. The sun can slow down the swelling process and leave spots on the skin.
